How to become a Five-Year Pillar of the Arts
How will the capital campaign funds be used?
Amount pledged toward our year 5 year goal of $500,000 :
Raise the Curtain Pillar of the Arts donations will be used only toward our long-term building fund. This may include long-term lease rentals, building purchases, necessary building enhancements or upgrades required by town officials, attorney or professional fees required to close transactions, and any other expense required to purchase or obtain a long-term lease and create our occupancy at that location.
It will not be used for BTC shows, salaries, stipends, or other current operating expenses. Donors who do not subscribe to the five-year Pillar of the Arts campaign will be recognized as annual patrons. A portion of the annual patrons' fund will go toward our operating expenses.

Next big step - getting a mortgage!
Pillar of the Arts Donors
We have dreamed as big as we could possibly imagine!
We have worked impossibly hard to bring inspiring,
thoughtful and even breath taking shows!
We have the support of our theater community,
patrons and audience members!
After 25 years of being a theater in everyone else's home - we may finally have a full time and permanent theater in the heart of Carmel!
Our goal was $150,000 in 12 months, but you did even better! Since October, 2024 we have raised over
$200,000 toward our five year goal of $500,000!
This incredible feat has allowed us to fund the down payment and closing costs. Our next miracle is to convince the bank that we can fund all the renovations. As a group of part-time theater lovers who work at this nights, weekends and every spare minute - you might imagine how difficult this will be. As we continue to entertain, we are now preparing all the financial information required for the mortgage and need to raise $150,000 to convert this space into our full time theater.
Your contributions have brought us this far and we hope you have a little more to give! Tell a friend. Tell a relative. Tell everyone how this small band of volunteers has built a theater community second to none and is ready to create a permanent theater!
Every small amount can bring a new theater into our community that will be here for decades to come!
Our goal is to raise $500,000 over the next five years. These funds will be used to RENOVATE OUR new home for The Brewster Theater Company.

The Pillar of the Arts commitment would be the total amount you want to donate over the five years. Brewster Theater would bill you in annual installments. You would submit a non-binding document that indicates your pledge for the total amount. A copy of the agreement is below.
Five-year commitments would be recognized in our playbill at the full five-year amount pledged. Each level has different benefits, but most importantly, reaching our goal would allow our theater to produce shows for decades to come. Your commitment to our theater for five years provides the capital needed to plan, build, and grow.
All funds raised through the five-year Pillar of the Arts program will be used solely for our capital campaign. For annual donations will have a portion be used for our current expenditures.
