Thanks to the support of sponsors and friends, Brewster Theater Company continued to astound audiences, grow volunteers and expand our offerings in 2025! We produced six main stage productions, including a weekend of original work from around the country, had our first kids show and held over half a dozen theater related workshops. Over 3,500 people from 120 cities and towns attended our offerings. We are supported by well over two hundred actors, stagehands, musicians, and volunteers. Our Social Media pages and website receive over 50,000 views monthly.
Our 2026 Goal - A new and long-term home!
We are in contract negotiations to purchase our new home! Our new location will be at 69 Gleneida Avenue in the heart of Carmel, NY. It will bring us opportunities that we have dreamed about for so many years and allow us to continue to expand our programming and offerings.
To help us fund our new home, our “Raise the Curtain” Capital Campaign has surpassed over $180,000 of our five year goal of $500,000! The support has been amazing!
Brewster Theater is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit and is operated by a board of volunteers. Every dollar will support our programming and capital program and any donation will make a difference!
Our 2026 Season
Our 2026 season will continue to build on our success. It will include six main-stage productions as well as new workshops and the continuation of our Children’s Program. It will also include events and community offerings.
Brewster Theater Company provides hundreds of volunteers a place to get out, meet people, and establish creative and lasting relationships through the arts. Our programs have changed and touched many lives! We have substantial following of retirees who pitch in and have found a place to come together, as well as a growing community of neurodiverse volunteers. Everyone assists in creating productions that include beautiful sets and costumes, elaborate technical details and professional staging. We hire talented musicians to play for our musical productions and create shows that are entertaining, inspiring and thought-provoking.
Sponsoring a show or a season is a great way to leverage your brand. Our high-quality performances attract audience members from all areas of Putnam County, as well as Westchester, Dutchess, and Connecticut. Our shows will promote your business all year long!
Our 100-seat auditorium had many sold-out performances and runs in 2025. Your advertisement would immediately acknowledge that you support the arts and the many volunteers in our productions.
We are always excited to bring live theater to Putnam County, but our mission is not possible without sponsors. Our dedicated volunteers spend thousands of hours annually creating our shows, however, our expenses are many and familiar, including rent, equipment leases, repairs, musicians, and many more. A typical show can cost $15,000, and musicals often exceed $25,000. Our ticket prices remain a great value for our community and are kept at affordable levels with the assistance of many valuable sponsors.
