Brewster Theater Company is located at The Theater at Drew Methodist Church at 28 Gleneida Avenue in Carmel, NY. We have plenty of parking in the rear of the building.

The Brewster Theater Company’s Creative Kids Academy welcomes students ages 8 to 12 to partake in our week-long summer workshop! Participants will spend their mornings engaged with movement, theater games, puppetry and crafts. All activities are designed and led by our NYS certified teaching staff and Company members in a fun and air-conditioned environment.
Workshop participants are invited to be part of our mainstage summer musical, Fiddler on the Roof ! In addition to learning scenes and choreography from the show as part of the workshop, students have the option of committing to attend evening technical rehearsals the week of July 15, and performing as ensemble members in the first act of the show!*
Sample Daily Schedule:
9:00 Arrival
9:00-10:30 - Movement and Theater Games Rotation
10:30 Snack (participants bring a nut-free snack from home)
10:45-11:30 - Puppetry Workshop
11:30-12:30 - Fiddler Choreography Rehearsal
12:30 - Dismissal and prompt pickup
*Students must participate in the Academy in order to be cast in the Fiddler ensemble. Auditions will be held for children interested in the roles of Shprintze and Bielke.
Tech rehearsals are Monday, July 15th- Thursday, July 18th from 6:30-10:30pm.
Children in the ensemble will not have to stay for the entire rehearsal.

STAFF BIOS:
Stacy Dumont is a co-founder of The Brewster Theater Company, a 23-year-old non-profit community theater serving Putnam and its surrounding counties. Stacy is both a NYS certified high school Special Education teacher and Theater teacher. She holds a BA in Theater from Fordham University at Lincoln Center, and has performed and directed in community theater throughout her life in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Westchester and Putnam.
Jean Mazzilli has been involved with the Brewster Theater Company since 2020. Her involvement with the Company has given her the opportunity to act, sing, direct, and be a stage manager for various productions for BTC. Currently, she is a retired Physical Education teacher from the Bedford School District and considers herself a “movement specialist”. In 2012, she received the “Southeastern Zone Amazing Physical Education Teacher” in New York State.
C.J. Umbrino is a 20 year theater teaching veteran in the tri-state area. She has worked with local groups such as Westchester Broadway Dinner Theater, Helen Hayes Performing Arts Company, Aspire Performing Arts Company and Antrim Playhouse. Her specialties include musical theater, dance, improvisation, Shakespeare and introductory playwriting. She received a degree in Educational Theater from NYU and currently is a 4th grade teacher for Harrison Central School District.
