The Brewster Theater Company is now in its 21st year and we are excited to bring theater back in 2021!

This schedule for 2021 will feature many new ideas and performances.  We plan to perform outdoors for the first half of 2021 and anticipate moving back into the theater in the Fall.  All performances will be based on an outdoor seating arrangement until it is deemed safe for us to once again move indoors.

Prior to the pandemic, our community theater created a space where hundreds of volunteer actors, stagehands and technical personnel created shows that attracted almost 2,000 paid patrons annually.  Past performances included many area favorites including, "Young Frankenstein", "Spamalot!", "Laughter on the 23rd Floor" and dozens of notable and well-attended shows.  

Brewster Theater Company is the only full-performance community theater in eastern Putnam County.  We provide year-entertainment at the Theater at Drew Methodist Church on Route 52 in Carmel, NY.  Our thought-provoking shows include full sets, costumes and orchestras, as well as  elaborate technical detail and staging.  Its decades-long presence in the community has contributed significantly to the local economy and will continue to do so.

Sponsoring a show or a season is a great way to leverage your brand.  We provide high-quality performances and attract audience members from all areas of Putnam County, as well as Westchester, Dutchess, Connecticut and New York City.  It is a great way to promote your business.

Your sponsorship supports a year-round facility for live theater in Putnam County.  Our 100-seat auditorium is often sold out for musicals and is in rehearsal most weeks of the year.  Your advertisement immediately acknowledges that you support the Arts, the many people who participate in productions, and affordable ticket prices for our audiences.

We are once again excited to bring live theater to Putnam County, but can only do this with your support.  Our board is all-volunteer, but our expenses are many and familiar, including rent, equipment leases, repairs, musicians, and many more.  A typical play can cost $5,000 or more, and musicals often exceed $15,000.  Our ticket prices remain a great value and the only way we can bring these memorable shows to the public is with sponsorship.
