About The Brewster Theater Company

The Brewster Theater Company is a 501(c)3 non-profit group that was established in the Fall of 2000. Our mission is to provide diverse theatrical productions of the highest quality to our community and surrounding areas. It is also our purpose to promote and encourage the community's participation in the theater, both on and off stage, and through opportunities such as workshops and informal play readings. We also intend to provide an avenue whereby local playwrights, poets and performing artists may bring their original works and talents to fruition. Four main stage productions are performed throughout the season. Additionally, our summer musicals have attracted audiences from Putnam County, plus eastern Connecticut and neighboring Westchester and Dutchess counties. We also host special events such as Cabarets, an Evening of One Acts, play reading nights, children's programs and original works.

BTC performs at The Theater at Drew United Methodist Church in Carmel, NY — a welcoming community space in the heart of Putnam County.

BTC is working toward a permanent home at 69 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512. Our capital campaign, Raise the Curtain, will help us build a dedicated theater space for the community. Stay tuned for updates!
