The Brewster Theater Company presents Thornton Wilder’s Our Town on November 11, 12, 18 and 19 at 8pm at Melrose School, 120 Federal Rd. in Brewster, NY. This charming story of everyday small town living is directed by Matt Bogen and produced by Judy Marano. Our Town's talented cast of 18 is comprised of actors from Brewster, Carmel, Patterson, Mahopac, Connecticut, and Westchester.

Tickets are $15 for adults, and $13 for seniors and students. The Cerebral Palsy (CP) Building is located on 15 Mount Ebo Rd  in Brewster and auditions will be held on the second floor.

Brewster Theater Company will present Our Town by Thorton Wilder on November 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th at 8 PM at Melrose School in Brewster, NY. The charming story of everyday small town living will be directed by Matt Bogen and produced by Judy Marano. Auditions for the show will be held 7-10pm on September 12th and 13th at Hudson Valley Cerebral Palsy Association at 15 Mt Ebo South, Brewster, NY.

Cast Breakdown

STAGE MANAGER (age 30+): the Chorus, the factotum, someone who is wise and trusted. Guides the audience through the play. (Written as male, can be cast as male or female.)

GEORGE GIBBS (male, plays ages 16 through 25): the male half of “boy meets girl” in this play. Earnest, not brilliant; honorable, not self-involved.

EMILY WEBB (female, plays ages 12 through 25): the female half of “boy meets girl.” Smart, creative, not completely self-assured.

Dr. GIBBS (male, age 40+): father of George & Rebecca. Town doctor. Humorous and good-natured, respected by all in town.

Mrs. GIBBS (female, age 35+): mother of George & Rebecca. A “plump, pleasant woman.” Definitely in charge of the household, but not bossy.

REBECCA GIBBS (female, age 11+) sister of George. Prototypical “annoying little sister.”

Mr. WEBB (male, age 50+): father of Emily & Wally. Editor of town newspaper. A bit wry.

Mrs. WEBB (female, age 45+): mother of Emily & Wally. A “thin, serious, crisp woman.” Would rather have her children healthy than bright.

WALLY WEBB (male, age 11+) brother of Emily. Likes to read.

Joe CROWELL (male, age 11+): newspaper delivery boy in Act 1.

Howie NEWSOME (male, 25+): milkman and communicator of town news.

Professor WILLARD (age 27+): “professor of our State University.” A “rural savant.” (Written as male, can be cast as male or female.)

Simon STIMSON (male, age 25+): music director of local church. An object of pity due to his drinking.

Mrs. SOAMES (female, age nosy+): town busybody.

Constable WARREN (male, age “elderly”): town policeman.

Si CROWELL (male, age 11+): newspaper delivery boy in Act 2.

Sam CRAIG (male, age 30+): cousin of Emily.

Joe STODDARD (male, age 30+): town undertaker.
