The Brewster Theater Company presents a journey of discovery in Ireland with Looking for Sean, Finding Seamus Hearts, Moons, Clovers? There may be a lucky charm or two in this original work by local playwright, Elizabeth Joyce!
BREWSTER, NY – The Brewster Theater Company announces the premiere production of Elizabeth Joyce’s Looking for Sean, Finding Seamus at St. Andrew’s Church in Brewster, NY. Show dates are March 16th , 17th and 23rd at 7:00PM. Admission for these performances is free, but donations are graciously accepted. Brewster Theater Company will also host a Special Dinner Theater event in conjunction with the show on Saturday, March 24th as a fund raiser in support of the theater group’s 2007 season. Also held at St. Andrew’s Church, Brewster, NY, proceeds from the Dinner Theater will help support Brewster Theater Company in their efforts to continue to offer quality, small stage productions to the community, free of charge. Tickets for the Dinner Theater are $20 and audiences will enjoy an Irish buffet, a performance of Looking for Sean, Finding Seamus, traditional Irish entertainments, and other activities. The festivities and dinner begin at 6 p.m., performance at 7:30 p.m. Debuting her third original work with the Brewster Theater Company, Joyce’s Looking for Sean, Finding Seamus tracks the physical and spiritual journey of three cousins bent on unraveling the secrets of their grandmother’s past in Ireland….and in the process, discovering the truth about themselves. “Supporting the creative efforts of local artists is a critical part of our mission and commitment to the Brewster area, and we are very pleased to once again bring the fine work of Elizabeth Joyce to the stage”, states Debbie Levin, President of The Brewster Theater Company. “Looking for Sean, Finding Seamus is another fine example of her insight, humor and sensitivity….not to mention a chance to show off her Irish heritage!” Also directed by Elizabeth Joyce, the cast includes:
